gaon district administration flouting vehicle use guidelines

From a Correspondent

GAON, April 20: The district administration of gaon has allegedly violated the ground rules and guidelines of the Central and State government and taken the private registered vehicles instead of commercial vehicles on contractual monthly and daily fare basis under various governmental schemes for which both the State and Central governments were losing huge amounts of revenue.

According to sources, the district administration without proper maintaining the ground rules and guidelines of the government had allegedly taken various private registered vehicles, although the district administration should take commercial vehicles only. Sources further alleged that the district authority had taken various private vehicles under schemes like NRC, SSA, Deputy Commissioner Office use and other important schemes and office use.

According to sources in the district administration office, the authority had taken the private vehicles instead of commercial because the rate of fare for private vehicles was comparatively low and the fund that had been allotted to the authority for vehicles was Rs 900 per day whereas the commercial vehicles demanded Rs 1,600 for which the district authority had to compromise the ground rules.
