Gariya Mariya Deshi Jatiya Parishad to stage protest

Barpeta, August 5: Th Gariya Mariya Deshi Jatiya Parishad will stage protest demonstration in demand of forming a Developmental Council and Sattelite council From today. A memorandum will be submitted by the Deputy Commissioner to the Chief Minister. The Secretary of the council stated that inspite of giving the Gariya Moriya and Deshi a minority group status no special previlege have been given to them by the government. Also the Assembly lacks proper representation of their community.
