Gauhati Town Club snatch point from AP Blues at RG Baruah Super Division Soccer League

GUWAHATI: Gauhati Town Club snatched a point from Assam Police Blues in the GSA RG Baruah Super Division Soccer League held at the Nehru stadium here today. The match between the two sides ended 2-2 draw.

As a team Blues are more experience than Gauhati Town Club and expecting to earn full points from the game. However young players of Gauhati Town club, who were trailing by 0-2 in the first half, made nice comeback into the game playing very accurate football. They returned both the goals in the second half and could even win the match too unless Boy Sing’s head didn’t miss the open net narrowly.

A P Blues took the lead in the 6th minutes through Mafidul Islam. He later increased the margin two minutes before the end of the first half time.

GTC took 55 minutes to open their account in the match through Vinoka Soni. Jimlong Chaba scored the equalizer converting a spot kick in the 71 minutes. Referee awarded penalty to Gauhati Town club after a player of AP Blues handled the ball inside the penalty area.
