Gaurav Gogoi inaugurates school kitchen in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT, April 28: Kaliabor MP Gaurav Gogoi inaugurated school mid-day meal kitchens in 20 schools, built using MPLADS fund for the year 2015-16. The MP visited and inaugurated school kitchens in Khumtai, Sorupothar and Deregaon region of Golaghat district during a three-day event from April 26 to April 28.

He interacted with mid-day meal cooks during the ceremony. They said that the new kitchens were more hygienic and better ventilated. The MP also interacted with the students and motivated them to follow healthy and hygienic practices.

A total of Rs 50 lakh was sanctioned in Kaliabor constituency from MPLADS fund for 2015-16 to 50 schools for construction of hygienic and well-ventilated kitchens for mid-day meal preparation.
