Gaurisagar Girls' High School bids farewell to Headmaster

GAURISAGAR, April 5:  A farewell function was organized recently at Gaurisagar Girls’ High School in honour of retired Headmaster Rajen Chutia who is also recepient of State Best Teacher Award.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Girendra Kumar Gogoi, chairman, School Maging Committee and Principal, DC Gogoi Jakaichuk HS School, Charing. Addressing the gathering, social worker Baloram Borah highlighted the contribution of Rajen Chutia towards the development of the school since its establishment as well as the all-round development of Gaurisagar area. The meeting started with a borgeet performed by Dipika Tanti. The dignitaries who attended the meeting are Dilip Kumar Neog, Principal, Gaurisagar Higher Secondary Industrial Institute, Mukut Deka, Headmaster of the school, social worker Mrinka Saikia, Suwala Dutta and teacher Monjit Phukan.

From the school the teacher was warmly felicitated with a citation, safura, and a packet of books. Receiving the felicitation Chutia emotiolly recollected the memories of the school and the cooperation he received from fellow teachers. Earlier Prab Baruah anchored the whole programme while Bonti Borah, Assistant Teacher explained the objective of the meeting.
