Gaurisagar Press Club reconstituted

GAURISAGAR, February 22 :  Gaurisagar Press Club was established in January 21, 1996  under the leadership  of educationist, jourlist Prasan Kumar Dutta. After a long ictive period, the club was reconstituted on Monday. In this connection, a meeting was held at the conference hall of NGO Krishak Nyas, Gaurisagar under the chairmanship of Surjya Kumar Dutta, president, Gaurisagar Press Club. In the meeting Hiren Kumar Neog, secretary of the club explained the objective and highlighted the past activities implemented by the club. He also rrated the sacrifice and contribution of jourlists Prasan Kumar Dutta, Nitya Borah and Deban Saikia in development of club. In the meeting Deva Kumar Mahanta, former senior jourlist rrated briefly the activities of Gaurisagar Press Club launched towards the development of socio-cultural activities. In the meeting Gaurisagar Press Club was reconstituted with Deva Kumar Mahanta, Prasanta Kumar Neog, Surjya Dutta and Hiren Kumar Neog as advisers, Podum Kumar Saikia as president, Podma Luchan Khanikor as vice-president, Rajib Dutta as secretary, Sankarjyoti Saikia and Mriganka Hazarika as assistant secretaries and Arun Hazarika as office secretary.
