General meeting of Sarania Kachari Sanmilani held

TANGLA, May 15: The central committee of Sarania Kachari Sanmilani organized the general meeting of its members at Bordoloi Bhavan, Tangla on Sunday. The general meeting was chaired by Sunbar Baruah.

Prabin Deka , Dipjyoti Sarania, president and secretary of Sarania Kachari Students’ Union and Dipak Deka, chairman of Sarania Kachari Development Council, spoke on the occasion.

They promised to resolve all the issues of the Sarania Kachari community.

Earlier the purpose of the meeting was elaborated by Tarun Das. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “For the sake of the development of the community and preservation of the culture of the Sarania Kachari community, the Sarania Kachari Sanmilani came into existence. To resolve our issues we have called for the general meet today.” The meeting was largely attended by nearly 400 members of the Sanmilani from Goreswar, Tamulpur of Baksa, Darrang and Udalguri district.
