Guwahati, Feb 7: Saurav Ghosal, top ranked squash player of India along with Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu lost to arch–rivals Pakistani player in the individual men’s semi–fils at the RG Baruah Sports complex here today .Top seed Ghosal lost to Farhan Zaman by 4–11, 5–11, 12–10, 5–11. Sandhu conceded his match because of injury to sir Iqbal. Indian player was trailing by 7–11, 14–12, 7–11, 6–6 when Sandhu left the court. In the women’s event top seed Josh Chippa easily defeated Sadia Gul of Pakistan 11–9, 11–7, 11–5 in the semifil. Meanwhile tennis event got under way at the Chachal Tennis complex today. Singles and doubles matches were held on day I.
