Gichik Chichi wins Cosplay competition

Itagar, June 6: A two-day Cosplay competition organized by the Aruchal Cosplay Club (ACC) successfully concluded at Dera tung Government College Auditorium here on Sunday. Mechukha MLA Pasang Dorjee So and AAPSU Spokesperson Tanya Agu attended the iugural ceremony as chief guest and guest of honour respectively on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, So exhorted the youths to be disciplined to become good citizens. Praising the organizer for conducting Cosplay competition in such a grand manner, So said that the Cosplay being a mainstream hobby profession taken up by the youngster and even working class was not just merely costuming.
“Cosplay is a unique form of performing art, where not only tailoring but also many more skills like crafting skill, creativity performing skill, stage presentation, cosplay were necessary,” So observed, adding the Cosplay also help youngster to be more sociable, improving communication kills as well.
He also assured to extend all possible help from his side help if the team Aruchal Cosplayers gets selected for World Cosplay Summit 2016.
AAPSU Spokesperson Tanya Agu also appreciated the organizer and said that the Cosplay can not only help the youths to develop their skills, but also distract their minds from anti social activities.
The guests further congratulated both Junu Pinggam and Gichik Chichi on their prelimiry selection for Cosplay tourment in Mumbai for representing the country at World Cosplay Summit-2016 which is going to be held at goya, Japan from July 30 to August 7 next.
On the second day of competition ABK Youth Wing, chief patron, Mongol Yomso attending as chief guest encouraged the cosplayers that they have to march with global social and technological advancement.
He exhorted them to strive hard to be good citizen and contribute in the tion building activities while keeping up their noble endeavor to promote cosplay as part of hobby and profession. Gichik Chichi emerged as the winner of the competition for her character as Kurumi from date a live while Mudang Nomo as ruto and Samuel Yaying as Sasukro from ruto were adjudged first and second runners up repsectively. Chakbi Lombi as Ikaros from Sora no atashi mano and Pipi as Katri Kitty Cat from Lol were adjudged best craftsman of the competition while Miti Taboh as Bao Hanko from one piece won the most popular cosplayer.
