Girl commits suicide

GAURISAGAR, FEB 15: Chimpi Gogoi, a student of Gaurisagar Junior College and the daughter of Jitu Gogoi, and an employee of the telecom office situated at Gaurisagar weekly market road, alleegdly committed suicide on Wednesday by hanging from a ceiling fan in her bedroom.  On receiving information, O/C Gaurisagar Police Station rush to the spot. In presence of Magistrate Pranjal Kr Das, the body was brought down and sent for postmortem to Sivasagar Civil Hospital. The cause of the suicide is yet to be ascertained. Chimpi was going to appear in this year’s HS (Arts) fil examition. Muhi Kt th, Principal of Gaurisagar Junior College, as well as the students and teachers have condoled the demise of Chimpi Gogoi.
