Girl set on fire, mother held

SHILLONG, Jan 1: One Kwod Dkhar (41) was arrested by Shillong police on Friday for attempting to kill her daughter by pouring kerosene in Lower Mawprem area of Shillong. According to police, action was initiated after one Bianly Jyrwa lodged a complaint. The victim sustained 50 percent burnt injuries and is now undergoing treatment.
