Global recognition: Dubai calling for city school

Guwahati, Feb 17: For providing quality education to promote intellectual, social and cultural vivacity among its students, city-based NPS Intertiol School, Guwahati has been awarded with the prestigious Academic Excellence Award during the World Education Awards ceremony organized as part of the World Education Summit, 2016 in Dubai on Monday evening. Over 300 representatives from 14 countries took part in the event.

During interaction with the Founder and Chairman of NPS Intertiol School JN Das and Director Vivek Sikka, on the sidelines of the Summit, the Government of Dubai invited NPS Intertiol School to setup their campus in Dubai. Driven by UAE’s “Vision 2012”, which lays emphasis on the development of a first-rate education system, authorities in Dubai have also offered tax and investment free tie-up with NPS.

With the UAE emerging as a major education hub, the major universities and educatiol institutions across the Globe are setting up their campuses in the country. Dubai offers educatiol opportunities from around the world, reflecting the diversity of its residents.  Countries like US, UK, Germany, Russia, Japan, Philippines, Australia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, France, Ireland, etc., have their presence in the education scerio in Dubai.

“Keeping the significance of the region as an important educatiol destition and looking at the all-round achievement of NPS Intertiol School over the years, especially after winning Government of India’s Rajiv Gandhi tiol Quality Award, India’s highest tiol award in quality, we have decided to make a foray  with the front-ranking school based in the northeastern city of India,” said Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of Knowledge and Human Development Authority  (KHDA), Dubai.

Elaborating on the Dubai Government proposal, NPS Chairman JN Das said that the proposal is itself a rare honour for the entire NPS family. “This invitation once again proves the academic excellence of NPS Intertiol School. It’s a rare honour for all of us and I congratulate each and every members of NPS family,” Das said.
