GNLA linkman arrested in B'desh

SHILLONG, May 7: An influential link man of the proscribed Garo tiol Liberation Army (GNLA), identified as Rajya Sangma, was arrested by the Bangladesh police from Halwaghat town, Mymensingh district of Bangladesh on Tuesday. Known for his role in abetting the Garo-based insurgent groups, besides sheltering the Garo militants, Rajya Sangma was picked up from his house by the Bangladesh police. Well placed sources from the central intelligence department confirmed the arrest. Even as the Bangladeshi authorities have not share the information with the Indian security agencies, the arrested person is a well known traveler in disguise to South Garo Hills.
