GNLA rebels surrender

SHILLONG, Jan 11: Two cadres of the Garo tiol Liberation Army (GNLA) today surrendered in East Garo Hills. According to police, Jackob Ch Marak (22) of Papagre, Eman Asalgre village, South Garo Hills and Matthews M Sangma of Rongchekgre village, East Garo Hills surrendered at Williamgar. The duo is from the Baichung group, police informed. Baichung Ch Momin alias Nikkam (Area Commander, West Garo Hills) is in the list of Meghalaya police’s ten most wanted militants.
