Goala calls upon the people to be vigilant over public works

SILCHAR, March 27: There are interior areas in the Lakhipur sub-division of Cachar which stand in need of better connectivity. It has been a positive development that Rajdeep Goala MLA of the area took initiative and got Rs.78,10,000 sanctioned from the state PWD under Chief Minister’s special package. He laid the foundation of the road from Chotamamda to Laikal under Binkandi development block. In a meeting held on the occasion recently in Laikal L P School, the MLA addressing the people assembled said this road has been the long pending demand of the residents of the areas.

 Rajdeep Goala asked the people to keep a close watch on the construction works which are to begin soon. Their vigilance is necessary to ensure quality of work according to the laid down specifications of the department. He promised the construction of another road as demanded by the people from Puthikhal to Kaptanpur via Taikon. This will be at an estimated cost of Rs.2,20,00000. The construction work on this road will also start soon.

 The meeting presided over by Monojit Das, block Congress president, and attended by the leading citizens of the area was also addressed by Rafique Ahmed Choudhury, SDO, PWD, said that help and cooperation of people in construction and completion is necessary.
