Goalpara Municipal Board warning to cattle owners

Goalpara, March 26: The executive officer of Goalpara Municipal Board (GMB) has warned the cattle owners of the town who are letting their cattle roam free on the roads, thereby causing serious threat to commuters as well as pillion riders. Dhiman Kr. Choudhury, executive officer, in his order vide GMB/Misc/2015/15, dated 23/03/15, has directed the cattle owners to control the movement of their cattle. “The GMB will take appropriate action against the owners as per the provision of Assam Municipal Act 1956,” stated the order. The order further stated that those owners who fail to abide by the Municipal norms and show negligence would be fined. The GMB has of late emphasized on maintaining cleanliness and hygienic in order to bring a change in the town.
