Golaghat AASU felicitates 197 HS, 135 HSLC meritorious students

Golaghat, June 16: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) of Golaghat district committee felicitated 197 HS and 135 HSLC passed meritorious students on Friday at a programme held at Golaghat Armature hall.

A day-long programme was observed by Golaghat AASU in association with the Golaghat Subdivision Students’ union and Golaghat Regional Students’ union.

Taking part as a special guest of the programme, AASU general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi said that to strengthen and make Assam shine in the world map, the students have to work hard through education, culture, literature and science.

In the programme noted educationist Dr. Basanta Deka took part as chief guest in the programme. The students who were successfully passed the HS and HSLC exam with 80 percent or above were felicitated with citation and bundle of books. The head of institutes were also felicitated in the programme. The AASU central committee Assistant general secretary Monuwar Hussain and Raju Phukan, Golaghat AASU vice president Ghanakanta Pegu and former AASU general secretary Dwipen Dutta were present in the felicitation programme.
