Golaghat boy goes missing in Guwahati railway station

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Jan 31: A 14-year old student went missing in Guwahati while returning back from Bihar to his home in Golaghat.  According to sources, Mohamad Aftab Ali, a student of Class VI and resident of Dergaon in Golaghat district, went to Bihar with two youths to a relative’s house. On January 21 they started their journey back home but in Guwahati railway station, Aftab Ali went missing. The othet two youths, however, reached their respective homes. The family members of Aftab Ali informed the matter to the railway police, Guwahati, but the railway police allegedly did not pay interest in the matter. Interestingly, Aftab Ali’s mobile phone was found switched off.  On January 30, his mobile phone was found and an unidentified woman called up and demanded money for releasing Aftab. Aftab’s father Mohamad Hanif alleged that his son had been kidpped. On Tuesday, the family members with the help of Golaghat district AAMSU, lodged a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Golaghat.
