Golaghat Central Rongali Bihu Sanmellan kicks off

Golaghat, April 27: The 55th Central Rongali Bihu Sanmellan in Golaghat kicked off on Wednesday at the Samanway Pothar grounds with pomp and grandeur.

The three-day long grand event started with flag hoisting by Tankeshwar Pathak followed by swahid tarpan by Rohit Gogoi. A Bihu chorus was sung by the female chorus team. The Keshav Saikia Memorial pandal and stage was iugurated by his wife.

Senior citizens were paid respect in traditiol style by Bipul Chandra Das. A colourful procession was declared open by Prakhyat Dowerah. In the procession students, Bihu groups, NGOs and people highlighting their culture took part.
