Golaghat DDC meet emphasizes improving credit flow to people

Golaghat, June 22: The DCC meeting for the quarter ending March, 2018 was held at the office of the Deputy Commissioner recently. LDM Probin Sonowal apprised the members present about the objectives of the meeting. The meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the CD ratio of all the banks as per the statistics of the quarter ending March, 2018. The achievements of all banks, sector-wise under the Annual Credit Plan 2017-18 were also reviewed during the course of the meeting. The meeting also reviewed the achievements of various Government-sponsored schemes. The Annual Credit Plan for 2018-19 was launched at the meeting.

DDM, NABARD, Susanta Chakraborty announced the launch of two Area Development Schemes (ADS) for dairy and piggery. The Deputy Commissioner laid special emphasis on improving the credit flow to the people by increasing the number of sponsorships under various government sponsored schemes and asked the bank representatives to be forthcoming in extending credit under the newly-launched ADS. He also asked the banks to improve the CDR and also contribute to the growth of the economy. AGM of Reserve Bank of India, Gautam Dhar spoke on the need to improve financial literacy among the people by carrying out extensive awareness programmes. Heads of various government departments and bank officials were present in the meeting.
