Goreswar Fire & Emergency Service Camp inaugurated

GORESWAR, July 13: State Irrigation Minister Bhabesh Kalita inaugurated a fire and emergency service camp at Goreswar police station in Baksa district recently. An inaugural function was held in this connection at the premises of Goreswar police station, which was anchored by Jogen Ch Nath, Divisional Technical Officer of Fire and Emergency Service Management. The aim and objective was explained by Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta, Director of Fire and Emergency Service Management. In his speech, he urged the people to cooperate with the department.

Binay Kalita, Superintendent of Police of Baksa, addressed the public and said that the Fire and Emergency Service camp would operate from the Goreswar police station premises till its own building came up.

Attending the inaugural function Maheswar Basumatary, Executive Member of BTC, said that one-and-half bighas of land had already been allotted for the Goreswar Fire and Emergency Service station near the Goreswar 30-bedded hospital. The Goreswar Fire and Emergency Service Camp will be upgraded to a full-fledged fire station soon. Inaugurating the Goreswar Fire and Emergency Service Camp at Goreswar police station, Bhabesh Kalita assured all-round development of Goreswar. He also warned the Circle Officer to check corruption in the circle office.
