“As we had Hill State Movement in the earlier years there should be a People’s Reformation Movement as well,” he said.

According to him, the people’s platform will bring out failures of the government and thereby work out to find results in solving those problems.

On being asked if according to him all the 60 MLAs have failed he said, “Yes, we have failed in all areas be it in the economic front where the state has all the potential to tap mineral resources, in terms of customary laws also we have failed as witnessed in the current situation.”

Syiem stated that it is time to discuss about a new change, “The political parties are too busy selecting candidates and in the process we miss the people’s reactions.”

He said that people should not look at a political party but should examine a person’s background and experience.
