Governor, CM mourn demise of Sayeed

Itagar, Jan 8: Aruchal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa and Chief Minister bam Tuki have mourned the sudden demise of Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who passed away on Thursday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.

In his condolence message to Mehbooba Mufti, daughter of Sayeed, the governor said his demise has left a huge loss for the tion, particularly for the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

The governor further said that Sayeed was a great tiolist, who worked selflessly for peace, progress and development of the country and his state in particular. He made immense contribution to the tion, as union minister and also as chief minister. Such instances of dedicated, patriotic and selfless service are rare and this makes him stand tall among his peers.

“On behalf of the people of Aruchal Pradesh, I convey our most profound and heartfelt condolences to you and other members of the bereaved family and pray for eterl peace of the departed soul. May the Almighty bestow you with enough strength to bear with this irreparable loss and to carry forward your agenda in the service of the tion,” the governor said in his condolence letter. Tuki in his condolence message said that the country has lost an eminent persolity and a veteran politician in Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. His demise is loss to not only Jammu and Kashmir but the entire India and he will be remembered for his services for years together.

Earlier yesterday, the CM paid his last respect to the departed leader at AIIMS.
