Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, May 5: Taking forward the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan programme initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a campaign was organized in the villages under Gaurisagar Development Block in Sivasagar district on May 4.

   Director and Nodal Officer, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Amitabh Ranjan Sinha, accompanied by Mousumi Chetia, Circle Officer, Amguri Revenue Circle, Rituraj Bordoloi, Circle Officer (attached), Sivasagar Revenue Circle, Sarodi Gogoi, DIPRO, Sivasagar,  BDO, Gaurisagar and officials from APDCL and departments concerned, inspected villages like Namdang Kumar Gaon and Ailamukh under Mogoraht GP, Bora Gaon, Pothalial Koibarta and Pothalial under Rudrsagar GP, Goal Gaon, Teliadunga and Jonmiri Borgaon under Dikhowmukh GP, Monglow Pukhuri under Kawoimari GP. 

The official had close interaction with the people with regard to all the schemes initiated by the Prime Minister. He enquired directly from the villagers about their living conditions and well-being and also sought their opinion whether the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) programmes were benefiting them.

 Further, Sinha also enquired about the availability of LPG, LED bulbs, immunization of children, status of opening bank accounts and insurance. Sinha appealed to the APDCL authority to provide electricity connections to the unelectrified households of Namdang Kumar Gaon.
