GAURISAGAR, Jan 8: In a search operation based on specific information Haluwating Police in Sivasagar district led by Officer-in-charge Simanta Borah recovered a hand grede and four live cartridges of 9MM pistol from Tifuk Tea Estate in the border area of galand. In an operation today in the early morning police searched the house of one Nobin Tanti at American Line of the TE and recovered it. Police bbed Konwer Singh Tanti (28), son of late Nobin Tanti for illegally keeping the explosives. Police suspected him to be linkman of NSCN. A case 7/16 has been registered at Haluwatig P.S against Tanti under IPC 25(A-I) R/W 5 ES.
