Group Commander Brigadier K Sreenivasa Rao visits NCC camp at JNV, Dhing

Tezpur: The Combined Annual Training Camp of 8 Assam Battalion NCC commenced on May 2 at JNV, Dhing and will continue for 10 days till May 11. A total of 550 NCC cadets from various schools and colleges of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are participating in this camp.

Brigadier K Sreenivasa Rao, Group Commander, Tezpur Group visited the camp on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the Group Commander exhorted the NCC cadets to exemplify the motto of the National Cadet Corps -Unity and Discipline - in their lives. He urged them to imbibe the leadership qualities, spirit of nationalism and selfless service. The Group Commander also stressed the importance of self-discipline and honesty, which should be the second nature of each cadet.

Sharing his experience as a NCC cadet, the Group Commander said that the NCC training inspired him to join the Indian Army. He expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Shillong and Principal, JNV, Dhing for providing the JNV campus for the camp.
