GTC take first innings lead

GUWAHATI, April 6: Gauhati Town Club took crucial 35 runs first innings lead against Bud Cricket Club in the fil of the GSA ‘A’ Division Cricket league held in the city today. In reply to Bud Cricket club first innings total 91 Gauhati Town Club today bowled out 126 runs in their first innings. Later Bud Cricket club got the opportunity to bat 8 overs in their second innings and the side took their score to 18-1.
It was Abhiv Choudhury who took lead role with the ball to place Gauhati Town Club in a comfortable position after the end of the day I. Abhiv picked up 7 wickets giving away only 18 runs which forced Bud Cricket club to finish their 1st innings 91 runs. Except Tarjinder Singh (29), no other batsmen of Bud Cricket Club were able to put good score on the board. Tarjinder (5-41)was also bowled well during Gauhati Town club innings and it helped Bud Cricket Club to concede only 35 runs lead in the first innings. Ranjeet Changmai (43no) was the top scorer for Gauhati Town club.
