GU wins Gulabi Devi More Memorial Quiz

BATADRAVA, Feb 20: Institute of Science and Technology, Gauhati University, won the Gulabi Devi More Memorial All-Assam Inter-college prize money quiz, 2017, organized by Nowgong College Alumni Association (1991 batch of students). The competition was held at Jajneswar Sarma Semir Hall of Nowgong College on Sunday.

The team of Kumar Shivam and Jyotish Kalita did their college proud by winning the quiz where altogether 27 teams from 12 leading colleges across the State had participated, a press release stated. The quiz was conducted by quiz master Dilip Kumar Sarma.

The team of Biswajit Sarma and Bijit Das of Gauhati University clinched the second position while Sayantan Saikia and Derajuddin Ahmed of the same institutions clinched the third position.

The first prize of Rs 10,000, second prize of Rs 7,000, third prize of Rs 5,000, along with a trophy and a certificate of participation were distributed among the three winning teams.
