GUWAHATI, May 7: Guwahati team bagged best team title in the second edition of All Assam Shotokan Karate Championship which Concluded at Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium here yesterday. Guwahati altogether collected 130 medals including 49 gold, 34 Silver and 47 bronze.  Jorhat finished in the second spot with total 32 medals (9 Gold, 7 Silver and 16 bronze). Kamrup (Rural) got the third position. The team collected 20 medals which included 4 gold, 4 Silver and 12 bronze. 
The Gold medal winners:   Sub Junior ( 8-13 yrs.) : boys - Hemphu Bongjang, Himangshu Raj Patowary, Dhruba Basumatary.  Girls - Fiana Rahman, Ishita Kashyap. Cadet (14-15 years)  : Boys-Ayushman Pachani, Dhananjay Boro, Chinmoy Deka, Kunal Kashyap, Tirthankar Baishya, Punit Jakhwal.  Girls - Thoibi Sana Sarma Deka, Akansha Konwar, Hrishita Das, Anubhuti Lohia, Puja Medhi. Junior (16-17 years) : Boys- Sumit Singh, Ramanuj Borah, Nayanjyoti Gogoi, Long Kumar Timung, Biki Rahman.  Girls-  Chandni Jain,  Simron Borah, Masuma Begum. Senior : Men- Akash Ali,  Rahul Amin, Sailen Sarma, Nakul Chandra Saharia, Dipankar Baruah, Rohit Das, Nayanmoni Deka.  Women - Janki Devi, Jyotishmita Gogoi, Tako Nama.
