GUWAHATI, March 14: Guwahati booked fil berth in the Nuruddin Senior Inter District Cricket Championship winning their second semi fil group league match against Dibrugarh at NFRSA stadium here today. Guwahati won the game by eight wickets. Chasing 141 runs to win in the second innings Guwahati reached the target in 26 overs losing two wickets. The star of the match was Abir Chakraborty of winning team who altogether picked up 13 wickets in the game.

Earlier Dibrugarh started the third day's play from their overnight score 138-7 and took their score to 168 before bowled out in the second innings. Abir, who took 8 wickets in the first innings, collected five more in the second giving away 79 runs. Jyotiraditya (74) and Salim Ahmed (42) were the major contributors for Dibrugarh in the second innings. It may be mentioned here that gaon too won their two group matches early and entered into the fil.
