Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) Organized Plantation Drive At West Boragaon

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) organized a plantation drive at West Boragaon dumpsite on June 5, 2019 to mark the World Environment Day.

The drive was carried out in the presence of Guwahati Municipal Corporation Commissioner Debeswar Malakar, Joint Commissioner Siddhartha Goswami, and Additional Commissioner Dwijen Singh. Other officials of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation were also present. The GMC Commissioner addressed the gathering to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness. He stressed the need to keep the city clean and urged citizens to not dirty their surroundings. During the drive, a total of about 1000 saplings were planted at the dumpsite.
