Guwahati: RPF (Railway Protection Force) Succeeds In Apprehending Criminals

GUWAHATI: RPF (Railway Protection Force) has been successful in arresting criminals who are involved in various types of crimes against railway passenger.

In one such case, Head Constable / SM Salam along with Constable Juma Khan and S Naro of RPF Dimpur (Lumding Division) , apprehended two persons namely, Md Ali Hussain, age about 27 yrs, son of Dula Hussain of Bhuragaon, Morigaon and Ajeruddin, age of 22 yrs, son of Masadur Ali, Boriahat, Nagaon, Assam with recovery of one android mobile phone while he was travelling 15960 DN kamrup Express in coach No S-9 which was stolen from a passenger namely, John VH Hrangchal. Later, the arrested persons along with the recovered mobile were handed over to OC/GRP/Dimapur for further legal action.

Also, Head constable RC Kumar, Deka and Constable Binay Das of CIB Guwahati were checking at Guwahati railway station, apprehended one person namely, Rajesh Singh, 25yrs, s/o Late Durga Singh of Bharalumukh, Guwahati and recovered one G-five mobile without SIM, which was stolen from a passenger namely, Afsar Ali of Darrang, Assam. Later, the apprehended person along with the recovered mobile phone was handed over to GRP, Guwahati.

Again, in another case Abhay Kumar Singh, ASC/RPF/Agartala along with ASI MK Roy, Head constable Bimal Nama, constable Sahajan Mia of RPF, Dharmanagar checking train No 15625 from Dharmanagar arrested one lady namely Soilo Rani Chakma age of 34 yrs wife of Naresh Chakma residence of Lakhinarayan Para Dombur, Gomati, Tripura recovered two plastic bags one of which contained .32 pistols three numbers of which two made in Italy and one made Kachin/Myanmar and .22 pistols-made in Kachin/Myanmar, six empty magazines and one empty cartridge and one bag containing clothes. The arrested lady disclosed that the recovered arms were to be delivered to two male persons at Agartala railway station. When the train arrived at Agartala station, the RPF team laid an ambush and apprehended and two male persons. Later, the apprehended persons along with the recovered arms were handed over to GRP, Agartala for necessary action, a press release stated.
