Guwahati Tea Auction Centre fetches World Record Price for Manohari Gold Special Tea

Guwahati: Guwahati Tea Auction Centre has knocked a New World Record after fetching 1kg of Manohari Gold Special tea at a rate of Rs. 39,001 per kilogram on July 24 in Pan India Auction System.

This world-class Manohari Gold Special tea which is owned by Mr. Rajan Lohia of Dibrugarh was sold by contemporary brokers and purchased by Saurabh Tea Traders for their upcountry buyers at Delhi and Ahmadabad.

Regarding the Manohari Gold Special tea, Mr. Lohia said, “With inherent quality and special clones of tea bushes and hand plucking of variety dedicated buds, a lot of dedication and effort put behind by the tea estate for manufacturing such a world-class tea”

The Secretary of Guwahati Tea Auction Buyer Association, Dinesh Bihani said, “This is a proud moment for Guwahati Tea Auction Centre. The Auction center has evolved as a platform where specialty tea makes new records and more demands are seen across India. This will encourage other quality tea producers to make good quality specialty tea and sent it to GTAC which is now a hub for specialty tea.”
