Guwahati Turns Stylishhh... With Boutiques of India Exhibitions ‘18

Boutiques of India conducted an exhibition with the best of designer wear, jewellery, accessories and lifestyle products, all under one roof at Vivanta Taj on 14th and 15th July. The exhibitors got the opportunity to leap into the bustling Wedding and Lifestyle Market in these cities. Boutiques of India exhibitions operates out of New Delhi and Bangalore. They have been organizing Wedding & Jewellery shows, since the past five years, covering more than seventy shows in more than 20 cities. The event that took place in Vivanta by Taj was presented in such a beautiful manner that the entire hall seemed like a paradise for those who love designer-clothes, jewellery, home decor, accessories, home furnishings, beauty products, handmade crafts.

Some of the brands present were Amit Nidhi Amit makes handmade dresses for women using materials from Kolkata. He focuses on ready to wear garments and is famous for his skill of fittings. Renu Singhania is an entrepreneur who wants to showcase those products which are not easily available in malls. She said that she wanted to create uniqueness in her products and because of that now people are trying to copy her style. “mimicry is the best compliment “, said Renu Singhania while talking about her product. She is from Mumbai and she has products related to home décor, table décor, leather mats, Rakhi’s, corporate gifts etc. THONGA BABA is a joint venture run by Vandana Goyal with Akshaya Patra in Gauhati. Products of this firm are all handmade like bags, photo frames and home-made mouth freshener and they range from Rs.150 - Rs.2,100. All the money that is collected by selling these products are given to charity. They provide food for around 54,000 children every day. The table to exhibit their products was also provided free to them. Kriti Lifestyle by Nidhi Harbhajhanka. They are the manufacture of handmade clutch bags and pot lies. Runway Hit-run by two young girls Shreya and Sakshi from Kolkata.

Boutiques of India gave an opportunity for all the entrepreneurs and designers to showcase their creations at the event and their exhibitions were a success in levelling up the fashion in Gauhati.
