Guwahati will be Mohun Bagan's home ground in knock out too

GUWAHATI, May 6: Mohun Bagan Athletic Club will play their knock out round match of the AFC Cup in Guwahati. The match will be held at the Indira Gandhi Athletic stadium on May 24.

Kolkata giant had made Indira Gandhi Athletic stadium as their home ground for the group league match of the AFC cup and they already played three games here. The last one will be held on May 11 where they will face Hong Kong outfit South Chi.

Bagan showed splendid performance in the competition this season and already cemented their place in next round.

Media manger of Mohun Bagan club Imran Khan today said,” South Chi will arrive in Guwahati on May 9 while Mohun Bagan will land a day later. Bagan are now at top spot with 11 points from 5 games. South Chi, collected 6 points from 5 games are in the second place. The other two teams of the group-Yangon United and Maziya collected five points each from same number of games. All three sides have equal chances to qualify in the next stage as second best team of the group.”
