Guwahati win by 7 wickets

GUWAHATI, March 9: Guwahati defeated Silchar by seven wickets and earned 6 points in the semi fil group match of the Nuruddin Senior Inter district Cricket tourment held at the Barsapara ground here today.Chasing 111 runs to win Guwahati today reached the target in  27.2 overs losing three wickets. Sunu Kumar and Avijit Singha Roy remained not out 43 and 31 respectively. Earlier Silchar, who started their second innings from their overnight score of 41-0 were bowled out 217. Abir Chakraborty and Sadek Imran Choudhury bagged three wickets each.

Meanwhile in the other game, held at the NFRSA stadium, Maligaon, Dibrugarh were forced to follow on against gaon on day II. In reply to gaon's first innings total 363, Dibrugarh were bowled out 111 in their first innings. Dibrugarh were 137-5 in the second innings at stump.
