GVK EMRI, M’laya completes 8 years in saving lives

SHILLONG, Feb 2: With a fleet strength of forty eight ambulances located in forty three locations across eleven districts in the entire state of Meghalaya, GVK EMRI – Meghalaya operations today completed eight years in the mission of saving lives. As on January 31, 2017, the Emergency Response Centre (ERC) has attended to twenty one lakh plus call since inception – of which the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in the state of Meghalaya has handled more than one lakh fifty five thousands plus emergencies of which thirty percent are pregncy related emergencies and fifteen percent are road accident related emergencies. The “Wheels of Hope” has saved over seventeen thousand plus lives and fifteen hundred plus deliveries have been assisted and conducted by the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and inside the 108 Ambulance.
