Hafaluting HS golden jubilee celebrations begin

GAURISAGAR, April 2: The year-long golden jubilee celebration of Hafaluting High School in Sivasagar district got under way.

On Thursday morning, Radha Kanta Borah, president of the Reception Committee, hoisted the golden jubilee flag to mark the beginning of the three-day long programme. Fifty symbolic flags were also hoisted by various persolities in the campus on the eve of 50 years completion of the school.

Later the earthen lamp was lit by Gu Kanta th, founder Headmaster of the school. The smriti tarpan was done by Bishnu Prasad th, former Headmaster, Hafaluting ME School. The swahid tarpan was done by Govin Phukan, secretary, AASU, Sivasagar District Committee. Thereafter, the newly-constructed school boundary wall was iugurated by Romen Baruah, Professor, Swahid Peolee Phukan College, mti.

Later, Ranjan Mahanta of Jakai Xatra, Charing iugurated the door of the exhibition and book fair. On the eve of the golden jubilee the former teachers and employees of the school were feliciated. In the evening, an alumni meet was held. Atul th, Subject Teacher of Sivasagar Government HS and MP School conducted it.
