HAFLONG, June 26: In connection with the celebration of the rad Jayanti, the Haflong branch of Biswa Sambad Kendra felicitated all the local jourlists who are working in both print and electronic media for the people of Dima Hasao, facing multifarious challenges, at a function held at msong Bhawan on Monday. The day’s program started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Monoranjan Pradhan, Prantiya Prachar Promukh in presence of Rishindra Langthasa, Sangh Chalak, RSS and Soumen Longmailai, Bibhag Karyabahak. Surjit Thaosen Jila Prachar Promuk gave a welcome speech. Later, Dima Hasao Jourlists’ Union president Surjya Thaosen representing Dima Hasao Post in his speech appreciated the organisers. He emphasised on the role of media in highlighting positive and objective news for all round development of the picturesque Dima Hasao district, while maintaining peace and harmony in the region. The Hindu mythological God radmoni endeavoured in giving peace message mainly between deva & dava, overcoming many challenges. Monoranjan Pradhan, requested the media fraternity to highlight positive news of the district so that media can have a positive impact on the minds of people.
