Haflong gears up for Christmas celebrations

Haflong: Like every year, the people of Haflong will celebrate Christmas in a befitting manner and for this the preparation for Christmas celebration here at Haflong is in full swing. Churches at Songpijang, Muolhoi, Fiangpui, CHT Synod, near Donbosco Haflong etc., are being decorated with Christmas trees, paintings and lights. People are very much enthusiastic to celebrate the festival with great enthusiasm. Haflong being a cosmopolitan township, people of different religions living in Dima Hasao have joined hands to celebrate Christmas with great pomp and gaiety.

This year youths are found to be very much enthusiastic. At Sonpijang, the youth groups from December 1 started decorating the churches. Along with worship and other religious services, there will be feast wherein people from various parts of the district are expected to join the celebration.
