Haflong PHE paralyzed as staff go on 100-hour strike

Haflong, Nov 22: The functioning of the Haflong Public Health Engineering Department was totally paralyzed as all the employees went on a 100-hour strike from Wednesday to demand fulfillment of their long-standing demands. The employees of the PHED demanded promotion of employees who have been working since a long time in the department. The Dima Hasao unit of All Assam PHE Employees’ Association staged the protest wherein all the employees took part. They alleged that due to the indifferent attitude of the higher-ups, they were being neglected.
