Haflong school gets smart class

HAFLONG, April 16: N C Hills Autonomous Council Executive Member Kulendra Daolagupu on Monday  iugurated a digital class room building at Vivekanda Vidyalaya in  Haflong. Phanindra Jidung, Director of Higher Education, Assam , on the other hand,  iugurated the digital class room of the school.

In this connection a well attended meeting was held which was presided over by J N Daolagupu.

Sri BB Dey, Headmaster of the school welcomed and also felicitated the dignitaries with gamosa.

The meeting was started with the chanting of Gita Slokas by the students of KK Hojai Memorial Kanya Charabas followed by welcome song  and solo dance based on Saraswati Vanda by the students of class IX & X of the school.

EM, Daolagupu in his speech appreciated the school magement as well as the teachers and the students for their endeavor in respect of enhancing the standard of education in the district by establishing digital class room while assuring all possible help from his end to this school. He also stressed  on the importance of digital education while disclosing that the department of education here in the district has been trying to impart training to all the teachers of the district in computer.

Phanindra Jidung, Director of Secondary Education, Assam who also hails from this district expressed his great satisfaction over the recent remarkable development in the field of education in the district. He hoped that in education, the district of Dima Hasao would not be left behind in comparison to other districts.

R. Jeme, a prominent social worker and a part and parcel of the school also appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the students to bring this school at higher rank.

The students of the school also expressed happiness as their school is having smart class which would help them immensely in pursuing their studies.
