Hakim Ali wins double crown

NEW DELHI, March 4: Hakim Ali of Oil India Limited (OIL) clinched double crown winning the Veteran’s Singles and Doubles titles respectively in the 35th PSPB Inter-Unit Tennis Tourment which concluded in Delhi Lawn Tennis Association’s (DLTA) court today. Hakim Ali won the singles fil defeating Bhushan Akut of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) 6-2, 6-3 while in the Veteran’s Doubles fil Ali, partnering with Kalyan Kumar Das, beat Santosh Kumar and rayan Rao of Oil and tural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGCL) 6-0, 6-1.The Veteran Team of OIL, represented by Kalyan Kumar Das, Hakim Ali, Debashish Bora and Gyan Prakash Saha also became the Runner-Up in the team event of the championship. In the closing ceremony, Ajoy Deshpande, Director (Technical), EIL attended as a Chief Guest and S Haldar, Member Secretary of PSPB  as a Guest of Honour.It may be mentioned that in the closing ceremony Kalyan Kumar Das of Oil India Limited was specially felicitated by PSPB and EIL for participating in the tourment for last 34 years.
