Handbook with information on AMCH released

Dibrugarh, October 14: The Principal of DHSK College, Dr Sasi Kanta Saikia formally released the handbook Chiki at a somber function held here at Greater Dibrugarh Press Club (GDPC) on Wednesday.

The handbook, compiled by Mohan Chetri, a social activist, contains telephone numbers and other valuable relevant data of Assam Medical College and Hospital. The secretary of GDPC, Muktamoni Hazarika , anchored the meeting,

Dr Shashikanta Saikia, while delivering his speech, lauded the efforts of Mohan Chetri for compiling all important information as well as introducing the history of the premier medical institution of Eastern India, AMCH and hoped that the handbook Chiki  would also help the patients of far-flung areas.Attending the function, the editor of weekly paper Xuwonsiri, Ramesh Saikia, appreciated the undying efforts of Chetri, for his valuable contribution in collecting of data and other relevant information of AMCH, for the last seven years to come out with an informative magazine Chiki, by being its editor.

Physicist Dr. Dipak Das, businessman Biman Das, in-charge and Secretary of GDPC, Ratul Gohain, and renowned artiste Dharini Tao, also attended the ceremony and delivered their respective speeches.

Later, the editor of Chiki, Mohan Chetri thanked the Principal of AMCH, Dr Athindra Adhikari  and others for their  help and assistance in bringing out the handbook.
