Hanuman Jayanti celebrated across State

Dibrugarh, March 31: Along with various parts of India, the festival of Hanuman Jayanti was observed with great enthusiasm here as well.
The day marks the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman, who is synonymous with courage, physical strength and steadfastness. Devotees were seen flocking the temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman, seeking his protection and blessings. The devotees offered special prayers and chanted mantras. Some of them also observed a day-long fast. The devotees also took out colourful and vibrant processions later to mark the day. Prasad was distributed on the occasion too.

DEMOW/BOKO: Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated in Demow Bibah Bhavan premises from March 29 to March 31 with a three-day long programme.
On March 29, the Hanuman Jayanti Mahotsav started with Mangal Kalash Yatra and after that different competitions were held among the students. On the concluding day on Saturday, puja and hawan jaagya was done and during afternoon the kirtan ended and prasad was distributed. A colourful cultural procession was taken out from Demow Bibah Bhavan which passed through the main thoroughfares of the town.   
Meanwhile, Hanuman Jayanti was also celebrated at Boko Rajapara.  Devotees took out a rally from Dhupdhara (Goalpara) to Boko Rajapara Hanuman Temple. People from various communities took part in the rally. Various religious programmes were also held.
