Hanuman Jayanti observed

DIBRUGARH, April 22: The auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, was marked by celebrations as devotees since daybreak, were seen offering prayers at the sacred temples of Hanuman here today.

The fervor of Hanuman Jayanti spelled spiritual pleasure among the people here, who gathered at the temples of Hanuman Garhi (AT Road), Hanuman Mandir (BC Das Road), Sankatmochan Mandir (Mancotta Road), and Hanuman Mandir (Tha Chariali) to perform puja and seek Bajranbali’s blessings.

On the eve of Hanuman Jayanti, a colorful procession termed as Shobha Yatra, was also taken out by the devotees of Hanuman Garhi temple, with idols of Hanuman, Lord Rama and Lord Ganesh being exhibited on a moving platform.

The incessant rainfall did not deter the spirit of the devotees as women and children were seen carrying religious flag, by chanting to the hymns of Hanuman with immense devotion. The traditiol ethnicity of our State, Bihu and Xattriya Dance were also a part of the procession, which added lively colors to the procession.
