Hardcore crimil and murderer arrested

MANGALDAI, June 21:  The Dhula police in Darrang district led by the Officer in-Charge Sub Inspector Ranjit Hazarika arrested a hardcore crimil and murderer Tara Miya (52) of Magurmari No. 2 –a riverine remote sar area of River Brahmaputra under Dhula Police Station on Tuesday.

Tara Miya was allegedly involved in four murders and more than 20 robbery cases under various police stations mely Dalgaon, Kharupetia, Shyampur and Dhula was also actively involved in poaching of one-horned rhinos. The police recovered six live ammunitions of .303 rifle commonly used in poaching and several hand-made cartridges along with two sophisticated hand-made fire arms from his possession. This notorious crimil has been absconding from the police since the last 15 years to continue his crimil activities like robbery, killing of innocent villagers, land grabbing and poaching.
