Hardcore Criminal arrested during joint operation in Nagaon

Nagaon: In a joint operation conducted by Nagaon Police and 20^th Assam Rifles on Friday night, a hardcore criminal was arrested from Salakati Pathar under Dhing Police Station of Nagaon with Arms and ammunition.

The criminal has identified as Md Mofidul Islam son of Sofie Ulla of Salakati Pathar area in Nagaon.

According to sources, acting on a tip-off, the Police team by Nagaon Police led by John Das DSP(P) raided the house of Mofidul and recovered a 7.65, 1 magazine, 4 live bullets and one county made grenade from his possession.

Mofidul was previously involved in many criminal activities in the region.

Meanwhile, Nagaon Police is interrogating the criminal at Dhing Police Station.
