Hardcore dacoit arrested

MANGALDAI, July 4: A team of Kharupetia Police Station on the night of July 3 arrested a hardcore member of an armed gang of dacoits and recovered one hand-made pistol along with ammunition and other incrimiting documents from his possession.
The arrested dacoit has been identified as Mazibur Rahman (29), son of Muruj ali of village No. 5 Arimari –a riverine sar under Kharupetia Police Station. The arrested accused was involved in a murder case, besides his involvement with the notorious Tara Miya group. Additiol Superintendent of Police, Suman Chakravorty and Officer in Charge of Kharupetia Police Station, Sub Inspector Chandan Goswami led the police team in the arrest and the subsequent recovery of the arms and ammunitions.
