'Haunted' bungalow gets guest house tag

Itagar, April 8: The state-of-the-art official bungalow of chief minister which has been treated as ‘haunted’ after former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul committed suicide on August 9 last year, has formally been converted to a state guest house. Chief Secretary Shakuntala Doley Gamlin iugurated the new guest house in presence of UD, Housing and Town Planning Minister bam Rebia and Capital DC Prince Dhawan here on Friday. Rituals were performed by organizing all-religion prayers to remove people’s apprehension on haunted bungalow. Speaking to reporters the chief secretary informed that after Pul’s death, the state government under leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu decided to convert the bungalow into a state Guest House. She added that the government is searching land to construct a ne official bungalow for the chief minister.
